It is one of the iconic models of the Mercedes-Benz brand, and was the flagship of the German firm during the 50’s. The model was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Fair in April 1951 and a total of 6214 units were produced from 1951 to 1955.

It is popularly known as the Mercedes Adenauer, because Konrad Adenauer, the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, used the convertible version as his official car during his mandate. It gained its fame when Chancellor Adenauer used it as his official vehicle in 1952.

The Mercedes 300 has a 2,996 cc engine with aluminium cylinder heads and a 4-speed all-synchromesh manual gearbox. It has 114 hp, a maximum speed of 160km/h and 4 hydraulic drum brakes.
