This car met with success at various Monte Carlo rallies, and at the Mille Miglia Rally of 1954. The famous racing driver Stirling Moss said, “I have the warmest affection for the old Mark VII because despite appearances to the contrary it was actually very well-balanced and light to drive. What a fabolous car!”

This Jaguar model was a favourite of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother for its interior spaciousness, elegance and luxury features (including Connolly leather and French walnut veneers).
